Senior Expansion Manager - EdTech
Industry Leader - Great Product - Big Growth Potential
We usually respond within three days
Senior Expansion Manager – Sydney or Melbourne | $130K Base + $250K–$280K OTE (super inclusive)
Private schools. Payments expansion.
This isn’t your typical account manager role.
We’re looking for someone with financial acumen, C-suite polish, and the kind of resilience that gets deals done in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Someone who can sit across from a school CFO or Diocesan Board, unpack their payments strategy, and turn underutilised modules into high-performing revenue channels.
You’ll be joining a nationally recognised software company serving thousands of K–12 schools across Australia. With major contracts in place, a dominant market position, and big growth plans ahead, they’re doubling down on expansion, and that’s where you come in.
📍 Why This Role?
$130K base + OTE of $250K–$280K (inclusive of super)
Hybrid model – ideally based in Sydney (3 office/client days, 2 WFH)
Own a high-value vertical – focus on private schools and payments adoption
Help shape a high-performing expansion team and make a real impact
Backed by strong tech, delivery, and onboarding teams already in place
🧩 What You’ll Actually Do:
Manage and grow existing relationships across a portfolio of private schools and school networks
Drive adoption of payments products (fees, uniforms, canteen, excursions, and more)
Engage deeply with CFOs, Treasurers, and senior administrators to understand challenges and tailor solutions
Expand revenue by increasing transaction volume and module penetration
Partner with internal onboarding, delivery, and product teams to align on rollout plans
Navigate complex governance environments with professionalism and persistence
Use insights and data to build strategic account plans and secure long-term wins
🎯 What Success Looks Like:
Expansion of payments volume and merchant facility usage across your portfolio
Increased module adoption across key private school accounts
Consistent activity – stakeholder meetings, site visits, solution proposals
Seen as a trusted advisor, not just a seller
💼 What We’re Looking For:
5+ years B2B sales experience – ideally from fintech, SaaS, or payments
Confidence selling into C-level and Board-level stakeholders
Strong grasp of payments: merchant rates, interchange, transaction fees
High EQ – able to balance commercial rigour with educational empathy
Persistence – you know how to work through long sales cycles and multiple decision layers
Excellent communication, project management, and CRM discipline
Based in Sydney (preferred) or Melbourne, with willingness to travel for client visits
✨ Bonus Points If You Have:
Sold into schools, EdTech, or education finance
Worked in merchant services (Stripe, Square, Tyro, Adyen, etc.)
A background in economics, business, or finance
💡 Why This Opportunity?
This is a role for someone who wants more than just renewals and relationship maintenance. It’s for someone who wants to grow something, to work with a market leader, expand its footprint, and build true partnerships with some of the most respected schools in the country.
You’ll have ownership. You’ll have support. And you’ll have a product that’s already deeply embedded in your customers’ day-to-day lives.
