Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Base + Car Allowance | $200,000 OTE
- We are looking for a BDM to manage the Queensland territory based in Brisbane or Sunshine Coast.
- Sell a product that practically sells itself with 70%+ close rates on demos
- Work with partners and vendors to scope new opportunities and build lead lists to target your ICP.
- Looking for a hunter, who enjoys flexibility and the ability to get out in the field and build connections.
About the HazardCO
We are transforming health and safety management for the construction industry. Our digital solutions help builders, tradies, and contractors simplify compliance, enhance safety, and streamline their operations. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive new business acquisition and customer expansion across the residential construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development & Lead Generation
- Own and develop a high-potential sales territory, identifying and engaging with builders, contractors, and industry partners.
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, outbound prospecting, and collaboration with Merchant TAMs/Sales Reps.
- Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations, positioning our platform as the go-to solution for compliance and safety management.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and merchant partner events to build brand presence and generate new business opportunities.
Sales Process & Pipeline Management
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract negotiation and close.
- Develop a structured sales approach, leveraging CRM tools to track customer interactions, sales activity, and pipeline progress.
- Build and execute a territory plan, ensuring a consistent pipeline of opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.
Consultative Selling & Customer Value
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers at small to mid-sized builders and construction firms.
- Educate clients on best practices for OH&S compliance, helping them see the long-term value of adopting our platform.
- Provide insights and recommendations to increase product adoption, drive renewals, and support customer expansion.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding business challenges and offering tailored solutions.
Key Criteria
- Experience: 2+ years in B2B SaaS sales or construction technology, with a track record of closing deals in a high-growth environment.
- Sales Skills: Strong consultative selling ability, with experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience selling to construction, safety, or compliance-driven industries is highly desirable.
- Networking & Relationship Building: Ability to build strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including franchise builders, independent contractors, and compliance managers.
- Self-Motivated & Target-Driven: A proactive, results-driven mindset with a focus on hitting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Presentation & Communication Skills: Comfortable delivering high-impact sales presentations, webinars, and in-person meetings.
